Re: [ST] Anybody have a Renntec rack



Although I agree that the reinforcing brackets are, for the most part,
overkill, as can be clearly seen in the documentation/scanned images
that Rupert has supplied, the extra hardware IS included in top rack kit
#A9508014.

There may be a different part number for just the rack (although I doubt
it), but Triumph would not change the contents of the kit without
changing the part number.  As far as I know, the referenced part number
is still valid.

It should also be noted that a 'field modification' which involves
inverting the two rear-most mounting bolts (up from the bottom as
opposed to down from the top) has proven to make removal and
re-installation of the rack significantly less time consuming.  If
memory serves, I believe you either need the extra mounting brackets for
this mod to work or at least to make it worthwhile.
