[ST] RE: ABS Tests



Wow.  That's an excellent article.  I never really thought about it like that.  I've probably put a good 75,000 - 100,000 miles (not all on the RS)on the street.

My only down was in wet grass whilst pulling my old Yamaha Radian (back in 1988) up into the back patio to clean and maintain.  Everything happened EXACTLY like that article explained.  I was going 5 MPH, hit the front brake, wheel lost traction in the dew grass, wheel snapped left and I flopped over right.  Head over heels and landed on my back in the grass and had my bell rung.  Even at that low speed I momentarily saw stars.

I've changed my mind about ABS on motorcycles.  Short my crotch rocket dream bike, the next one's gonna have ABS.
