Re: [ST] New "old tire" question



If the center of your tire is the "6 o'clock" position, then I would say the ridge at 7 or 7 o'clock would just be wear. If you don't use the tire all the way to the edge, then as the center parts wear, the unused parts will stand out.

4 year old tires are getting old, but should still be safe.
Check for cracking, if no cracking then ok.
But the grip of the tire ages away before it becomes unsafe.
