I do not see why. The sending unit and the fuel pump are completely
separate.

You're right. I was confused because all previous experience I've had
with sending unit failure was in cars that had the fuel pump in the tank
with the sending unit...
So any bets Triumph will warantee this? I'm calling the dealer as soon
as they open...
