Re: [ST] Dont let the bastards get you......

Hey Now! I like running red lights too ;-)

Actually, after 33 years of driving, I only ran a red light once. It was in a p/u and just recently. My only excuse is I was looking at a BIG fire. The light was green, I started looking at the fire, then I look back and DOUGH! OH CRAP! It's red. I was going 55 and I was right there...No time to stop. Talk about lucky. It must have just turned and they didn't have a chance to go into the intersection yet, or else it would have been ugly.

No I'm not proud of it. I acknowledge my error and I learned from it. I'm thankful nothing bad happened. I'm confiding in this list not to be judged but to let others learn from my mistake. We should never take our eyes off the road for one second(unless there's a beautiful naked hitch hiker) No, no, no, not under any circumstance. Cage, bike, or otherwise, driving needs our full attention or else bad things can happen. Fire or not, I should have never taken my eyes off the road.

Bad driver (SLAP), bad! I could have killed someone and that bothers me more than my actual screw up.

it's comforting to know there are folks like you out there who are
only in it for the recognition, and the ability to run red lights...

here you go then: thanks!
