[ST] for Benjamin F. - Dont let the bastards get you......

>>> which laws are violations of personal rights and which punish valid offenses? <<<

    Keeping it only motorcycle related:

    Laws which protect others from the consequences of our trespasses rightfully punish valid offenses, i.e. red light cameras, driving under the influence, loud pipes, no passing on shoulders, illegal headlights, etc.

    Laws which protect only ourselves or no one at all are abrogations of personal freedoms, i.e. laws requiring wearing helmets or other protective gear, m/c bans for areas of towns /cities, banning of knobby tires on pavement, the Federal law which allows insurance companies to refuse payment for any injuries related to motorcycling, leg protectors, catalytic converters on motorcycles, unreasonably low speed limits just for the purpose of revenue enhancement, 'impoundments' (a common euphemism for Grand Theft) of vehicles for rider paperwork violations, prohibition of passenger carrying on highways, etc., ad infinitum.

                         You should have known;
                                                                 dowgydoodoo           - - - - o&\o
