Thanks for the input folks--I am planning on putting some miles on it this weekend and see if it or I adjust to it.
I had Corbins on other bikes but this is the first Sargent. I liked my Corbins, but with the route service and fit has gone with them and the fact that this was a great deal for a Sargent I had to try it.
I do think that part of what I am feeling with the Sargent is the width of the seat and that on the stocker, slight body adjustments allowed me to drop into a turn. I think I need to physically move around in the seat more.
I do think, I need to stop thinking and just ride...

Every stock motorcycle seat I have ever sat on is totally c*** for me. I had
a Sargent World Sport on my 99 ST and loved it. I know people that are totally
happy with the stock seat or find that a sheep skin cover works for them.
Horses for course mate. If the stocker is good for you stick with it.
