Re: [ST] New Bike Pics

I've been on rides with guys on the new Beemers, they look impressive on the move. The guys I know who have them love them.

In typical Beemer fashion the bike is very well engineered, and its an excellent tool for blasting or touring.

All the same, the Beamers don't fire me up. IMHO the front end is too boring, and the whole package is just a bit to refined.

I get far more fired up about my triple, warts and all.

I think the Beemer might be a lot like my friends CBR100xx (honda blackbird). When I rode the Blackbird I was amazed by how comfortable and fast it was, fantastic bike for what is a ten year old design - but it left me cold -there wasn't anything in the bike to inspire me.

Besides : nothing sounds as good as a triple. In the meantime I don't plan to ride one, in case I like it too much and it ruins my theory!

cheers
