Reminds me of the tale of the visitor to Ireland who took a cab from
the railway station and was appalled to find that the driver
completely ignored red traffic lights. When he mentioned his concerns
the driver said, 'Ah, me and my brother always go straight through red
lights.'
The fear-inducing journey continued until they were coming up to some
red lights that conveniently flicked over to green. Immediately the
driver stood on the brakes, coming to a screeching halt. 'Why on earth
have you stopped?' asked the incredulous passenger. 'Ah, to be sure,'
said the driver, 'my brother might well be coming the other way.'
