Steve,
You would have disappointed me if you didn't reply.  Just because I didn't
live there doesn't mean I haven't been there OR had to deal with NJ's
government.  I've got lots of reasons why the Garden State is a place that I
would avoid.  The following is just one example of the type of people who
run that state. If someone writes you a letter saying there were going to
kill you, rape your wife and molest your dog, then calls you on the phone
just prior to kicking your door down to repeat the message AND they are
carrying a loaded weapon which they discharge in your direction AND they
corner you in your basement.  It is still not justifiable self defense to
shoot them in the great state of New Jersey if it is still possible for you
to retreat in some manner like to crawl out the coal shoot.  

Narrow minds may be just someone's perception of focus on the facts.

Just as I suspected.

Most of the people that have nothing good to say about a place have 
never spent a significant amount of time there so they have no clue what 
their talking about. I'm sure our state, like any other, has it's fair 
share of narrow-minded people. I'd be thrilled if you stayed away, we 
don't need any more.
