I haven't done much posting the list lately. However this topic caught my attenting as I just cruised the complete SD and BRP to get to FL for a conference. Total round trip mileage was 49mpg for 2,200k miles, about 3/8 of the mileage were on the nicer roads (i.e. BRP, SD, Dragon). The remaining 5/8ths of the roads were super slab.
The SD and BRP was a great ride. Didn't see any LEO's and it was pretty quiet on the roads. I hit it Sunday afternoon and finished up the following Monday. Saw Quail, Deer, Pheasent, Coyote, and a quite a few wild turkey's.
I pulled about 55mpg on the SD and first 100 miles of the BRP. One the second part of the BRP, I pulled about 53 mpg.
I could do the whole BRP on two tanks of Gas, but would likely have to use fumes to do the whole SD and BRP.
I was fully loaded with all three boxes full. In addition I had a tent and a sleeping bag on the back of my ST. '01 ST configuration, Trumpet CF can with the associated tune. Normally, I get about 48 mpg (mostly commuting miles).

I am seeing better mileage here in VA than I had in ME. With commuting and
spirited riding I am getting about 48 with a K&N and 2Bros can. In Maine, I was
more around the 38-42 range on the ST with the occaisional 45.
MY old Hawk would easily get 51-52. Bone stock, as I was afraid to loose any
range on that bike. Man, I miss that bike. I might just have to buy it back...
So, Jeremy, you thinking of heading down for the WVA RAT-like meet? If you
come sooner give us a shout, I am about an hour from the BRP in Richmond.

Chiming in late, I know, but I had a good run. Seems the Sprint has a
sweet spot (similar to my Hawk GT) of about 50-60mph. Ran more than
half a tank on Maine back roads home the 4th, followed by a commute to
Boston from southern NH. Low fuel light came on at 243.5 instead of the
usual 220 (+/-) miles. Calculator showed 51.8mpg (+/- different pump
variances). Tells me I could do the BRP in two tankfuls, based on the
60+ I got from the Hawk a few years ago.
FWIW. :0)
