OK, Damnit, I'll share mine....First season I had my
RS, my first bike purchased new, i am washing
/detailing it in my driveway. It is on the side stand,
and I go to put it on the center stand. Unknown to me
there is a big crack ( read gaping hole, about 3-4"
wide, 6" long, and 4 " deep) on the right side of the
bike, right in front of the rear tire. You know, right
where the right leg of the centerstand needs to be. I
pop the bike up on the centerstand, and she slowly
pulls away from me, me of course not understanding
why. I start to pull back, but its to late, and she
goes over on her right side. Not wanting to let go to
let her down gently, I go over too.... thank God none
of my neighbors were looking.... After much cursing
and swearing, i walked around the other side and
lifted her back up. To my surprise, the only damage
was a broken foot peg, turn signal, and a tiny spot on
the brand new race can I had just installed a week
earlier. And a polishable scuff on the bar end weight.
Iwas very lucky. The fact that its an RS helped I
suppose...
