No track legend.  I saw it once and heard other racers talk about saving the front end tuck by extending their knee out to apply some counter force (assuming the knee is already dragging I suppose) on the tarmac.  I don't think I ever did this so I'm gonna guess their knee is sliding on the ground, the front starts to go, and they push back with their knee before it goes out too far.

You're gonna have to explain a bit more. You mean if one skids
the front wheel (tucking in?), a force with your knee (force
against what?) can regain traction? Sounds like a "track legend"
to me, but perhaps you can give some more details?
