Re: [ST] For Dave re Sprint vs S3



Hey Bob,

I too am getting ready to lose the ST and get an 06-07 S3.  That's cool
about what you are attempting with the exhaust.  I can't wait to see pics.
I didn't notice any heat issues on my test ride, but I'll definately look
for them on my next.  I'm very interested in your progress as I don't really
like how the exhausts are placed, and would like to see them completely
under the seat.  It's a hard choice, but I'm almost willing to wait for the
potential 07 S3 675 because it might be shorter and lighter, and have a
better designed exhaust.

Also, check out this pack.  It sits over the seat and has an aluminum frame
to keep it from sagging, and is supposed to work on the 05-06 S3's

Combine that with one of the SW-MOTECH tank bag systems, and you are good to
go!  That is certainly my plan!
