Quite right I did forget to add that bit about GP Super Stars making such helmets worthy of stratospheric prices. And some of those grahics are really sexy...

Bologna.  You pay for the fancy graphics, especially if they match a well known 
racers helmet graphics.

Much of what we pay for in top of the line helmets such as SHOEI or ARAI or 
SUOMY is for the additional features from wind tunnel testing for low noise, 
light weight materials, removable/replaceable comfort liners, airflow systems, 
etc So from that point of view I would say my current Shoei ZII is a better 
helmet than my first AGC as it lighter, more comfortable, has better vetilation.
