Lisa,
In my opinion, whether it's the testosterone factor or not, it is much better for a female rider to advise a potential female rider than for a male to do it.  I learned not to underestimate the female rider when I brought home my new 1989 PC800 to show my wife.  I parked it and walked into the garage. When I came out,  she was heading down the street on it.
