I gotta ask the same question - why put the bike on the centre stand to refuel? I cant remember a single time I have ever done this. Always on the side stand.
 
Refuelling while sitting on the bike, rider or pillion, in the state of New South Wales, Australia, is illegal. Some serviced station operators are so serious about that one that they wont turn the pump on if you try it.
