Re: [ST] Tire pressure.
The "best" tire pressure depends on many things (of coarse). But the brand/model of tire is important. I usually run 36 front, 40-42 rear, and that works for most tires. But Dunlop D220's seam to want lower pressures, especially the rear. I think the best rear pressure for a D220 is somewhere around 36psi. I have run the D220 at ~41psi and it slips around a bit (always comfortably) and wears out quickly, only getting about 65% the mileage of comparable tires.
For best performance (stick) I have always used the 15% rule. Tire pressure should rise ~15% from cold to hot.
I can't say that I have ever really noticed the feel of the tires changing until the pressures are way low (flat).
