Were they possibly the Oxtar Matrix? Not sure if they are still
available, but they had a similar look with the full height. Also, they
were "waterproof" or had a gore-tex membrane or something like that. I
got a pair for my wife, but went for the "robo-cop" style of the Oxtar
TCS boots.
