Re: [ST] for Jeremy et al - another luggage question

Did that replacement on the Hawk, for the same reasons. I'll take a
closer look at home.

Thanks!

I found I had mine ground down in just a couple weeks. I love some of
the roads in Eastern PA :) But I like them as they have saved me from
having to replace pegs as much. When my pegs were grinding, they ended
up snapping at the last pad mounting bolt area going around long, fast
sweepers. I generally would just use a short bolt that I ran over the
grinding stone to smooth out, and replaced the feelers with short bolts
every couple weeks. Easier, and much cheaper than replacing pegs all the
time.

Not sure the canned answer is correct. I took the ST to a track day on
Monday, and left the exhaust in the low position (lazy...). I touched
down the peg feeler and not the exhaust.

Cleaner look. I don't really like the look of the horizontal pipe. The
canned answer is more lean clearance, but I doubt I'll ever test that.

>>> I've done it a bunch of times now as I only use the side cases on

I've had the hard bags on all my Triumphs since the '95 Sprint 900
and just have to ask,... except for ease of cleaning the bike, why would

you ever want to remove them?
