No question and I'll seriously consider the T1050 when that time
comes.  But with this supermoto-flavored evolution, Triumph appears to
have abandoned the big trailie altogether at a time when there have
been tempting additions to the category from other manufacturers.
Particularly for the inseam-deficient, there are very few options in a
bike which will tour well and still take to the fire road or odd goat
track with confidence.  

I live for the day when a suitably-tuned 675 engine is the heart of a
2/3-sized, gnarly-tired version of the 1050 which is suitable for on
and off highway use.
