Re: [ST] ST Bags on an RS

I have an '03 RS and it is has the SSSA (we got the special edition earlier
than the States and there was no '04 RS in Canada). I thought about the
hard bag option that I was missing from my '99, so I did a bit of research.

Essentially you can think of this special edition as an ST from the tank
back. Even the rear peg hangers are from the ST, so all the hardware for
the bags should fit perfectly.

COST will be a big factor unless you luck out on the second hand
possibility. However, the chances are high that you'll be missing something
from the donor bike, so you'll probably spend a lot of time researching and
waiting for parts to arrive. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle so I
bought some cheap third-party soft bags and they have worked out quite well.

If you must have lockable hard bags, I would suggest the Givi route,
although I personally much prefer the look of the OEM bags.

HTH
