So I FINALLY got around to watching the race...  As far as we can tell, yes,
Rossi passed under waving yellow.  So yes, the race officials blew it.  Was
it due to "Rossi bias?"  I don't think so, but I'm a believing sort of guy.
On the video feed, you don't see the yellow until after the pass has been
made AND they're through the next corner.  Then it shows up at the top of
the screen.  The idea thing would be to have an overhead shot of the whole
thing, but we don't.  Nor have I seen any on-board footage that might show
what Rossi saw in getting ready for the pass.

To his credit, he did let up and let Stoner back in front of him (before
overtaking again on the very next curve).

I don't think any of the corner workers saw the pass or recognized it for
what it was.  There was so much traffic right there, and with Checa trying
to get back on his bike and get moving, it was pretty hectic.

I guess this will turn out to be either nothing (if Hayden holds on to win
the championship) or a big fiasco (finger pointing/blaming if Rossi beats
Hayden in the championship).
