Lou;  the winshield I used wsa   the  Cee Baily 17" Tight radius model, It 
keeps the wind from hitting the  sides of your face at speed. (70+) It's 6.75 
inches from the  support arm  to the top of the shield. And 17" from the bottom 
to the top of the shield  measured from the center of the shield.
I hope this helps I have a 2002  ST.

One more thing there was a thread on site regarding use of grease on  the 
chain, clean off the chain lube and  use only WD40 on the chain every  week. The 
grease only picks up dirt and crap. 
I hope that guy sees this  info.
