Mike,

First, glad to hear that you're ok.  Damage doesn't sound too bad, of 
course the cosmetic stuff is a bummer to look at on such a new bike.  I'd 
highly recommend going the insurance route unless they're going to jack 
your rates.  I feel confident saying that your deductible will pale in 
comparison to the overall damage bill.

Make sure you take care of your shoulder!
