Re: [St] Quick GenMar question

This is an interesting question that pops up from time to time.

I notice a lot of talk about torque values for pretty much every nut and bolt, whereas I and many people I know (on the island of Oz) only worry about this for things such as bolting an engine head back on. I wouldnt use a torque wrench for fairing bolts etc.

Thoughts?

Brett.

Subject: [St] Quick GenMar question

Last night I threw a pair of GenMar risers onto my ST. If
I'm lucky, this will solve the problem of my not riding much
because my wrists can't handle it.

One quick question, though... the instructions said to torque
everything down to 14 foot-pounds. I was too lazy to come
back upstairs and grab the torque wrench. Do I really care,
or is "yeah, that's about right" good enough?
