Re: [St] Happy Birthday to me

You can add mobile devices and it will send a text message. You can
add 5 contacts for redundancy. You also have a separate list for both
the OK messages and the HELP messages. So for example I could send a
message saying I'm OK to just my wife, but the HELP message would go
to my wife, the Sprint list, my friend with the trailer, etc.

Since the message is sent from their facility, even if you're out of
range of cell coverage your message would go through, as long as you
have a clear view of the sky. That's the one downside.

As for the staying conscious bit, that's one reason I also purchased
the tracking service. It will send my location every ten minutes. So
if I tell Lori, I'll be back around 7pm, and by 8 I haven't rolled
into the driveway, she can go online and track my progress. If it
shows that I'm in the same place for the last two hours, at least she
knows where to start looking for the body.

No system is foolproof, but I looked at Personal Beacons and I
thought this was a better system for my purposes.

I like that I can initiate:
OK - Just to let them know I'm ok.
HELP - I'm in trouble due to a breakdown or something like that
but it's not serious enough to call 911.
911 - I can call 911 directly (assuming the device is still in
reach and I'm conscious of course)
