Not a problem!  I've done both my 12,000 & 24,000 myself.  I need to 
check the headstock even though it still feels good.  I had it adjusted 
while it was still under warranty at ~7000 miles.  I'm still arguing 
with myself as to whether to change the coolant or not.  I did the fork 
oil early when I put gold valve emulators in last spring along with a 
new shock.
