It's no biggie, takes a minute and if it helps save your rim from gouges well...

Also you might wanna have some black RTV on hand, it's good to wipe a little 
inside the pipe where it clamps to the header pipe on reassembly.  Sure wish 
Triumph had emulated the VFR's dual bolts on the clamp instead a weak little one 
that you typically shear off sometime putting it back together!  Which leads to 
another note in addition to some RTV, a stronger replacement bolt for the clamp.
