Er.. not all of us would replace the fuel filter just because the tank
was off.  (I'm an electronic engineer - it makes a difference<G>)

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS replace the fuel line o-rings. Watch what goes
where, there are a lot thingys (technical term, I'm a mechanical
engineer) under there. If you take the tank off you may as well replace
the fuel filter while you are there. I use a BMW filter because they are
$20 not $50 (at least for my RS), and replace the gasket between the
plate and the tank.
