Well the dry teflon lubrication is supposed to repel dirt, that is 
why it is so great to use on chains. I just thought that it might be 
useful there as well.

By the way the dry telfon lube is a S*O*B to get off the rear rim. I 
know since I had to clean my rear wheel before I balanced it with the 
new Avon.
infact there is still a couple of patches that will not come off yet.
