Re: [ST] Alarm

Mark

Glad you got it going.

If you're handy with a small soldering iron, those hand-held units
often get hairline breaks in the tracks especially round the switches
due to the user squeezing them. Pull it open and look at it under a
bench magnifier - or you can probably buy a replacement from datatool if
that scares you.

If it helps, my Datatool System Evo was fitted by the Triumph dealer on
a second-hand bike but has the Triumph logo on the remote which is
egg-shaped and the top 3/4 is clear plastic with one round and one oval
button. The earlier model was the Datatool System3 IIRC.

Thanks Chris,

I did try close proximity but still nothing :( You are right, I
couldn't
start the bike last night and had to get a lift home and then another
lift
to the bike this AM. Managed to get the bike started with the spare
unit.
Checked the batteries, by swapping them around and it seems it is the
remote
unit not the battery. That makes me nervous being down to just one
remote.

Mine is a 99 ST with the factory alarm.

I am thinking of putting in a secondary switch if I can find the main
feed.

Mark
