Hi Chris,
  I'm dying to know which tool you broke.  I have a Motion Pro junk tool that I paid a premium for and it is shite.  I broke two of them.  I had the 2nd one welded and reinforced.  I would not recommend this tool to anyone.  It has a huge design flaw and never should have made it to production.
