I went for EBC discs when?they wore out on my 99 ST at about 70,000kms.
Generally speaking,?the engine?and gearboxs on these bikes are quite solid, providing you have kept fresh oil up to it and regular servicing etc
Its usually everything else that wears out on the bike such as brake discs, cables, bearings, bushes, suspension, seat, linkages, electrical connections,?stress cracks in the fairings etc.
Once that starts to happen maintenence can become a bit of a chore and reliability can suffer. But revamping all of that will give you another 100,000kms.
Brett.

So, since it's quiet on the list:
115.000 km on my 2002 Sprint ST now and my brake rotors are worn out. Left front
is gone and right front allmost.
Rear is worn out also.
They quoted me 1600 euro's to revise the brake system and new rotors (1200 on
material and 400 on labour).
Bummer!
Does any of you have experience on the lifecycle of other parts of the bike: the
engine, gearbox etc?
Anyone else with a lot of mileage around there has experience with major
revisions?
Thanks,
Markus
