Re: [St] Garmin Zumo 550 on ST'03



I was thinking of running off of the heated grip connection utilizing that fused line (as I dont have this option installed). The means you describe seem most direct and least confusing. 
   
  I assume that you have a full time hot connection with that setup? I am debating the benefits of this as I usually run batt backup in my portable when operating it through the accessory line (in the car).

Yes, the power plug you see in the pic is wired directly to the 
battery though a fuse.
The ram mounts were bought from RKA at 
http://www.rka-luggage.com/A33%20Rammount/Rammount.html.
I bought the power cable from some store selling Garman acc. on line.
