[St] ST Oil Filter Crush Washer

Here is a small (both figuratively and literally) tip for any value-minded riders out there besides me.

When I last changed the oil on my 06 ST, I replaced the aluminium crush washer for the princely sum of $1.25.  Apart from the expense, it also meant I had to ride across town if I wanted to purchase this authentic Triumph replacement part.  On Fri, I took the day off for some other "leisurely" activities.  While I was driving through town, I stopped at my local Canadian Tire store and asked the guy at the service desk if he anything close to my Triumph crush washer.  After rummaging around for a few minutes, he returned with a generic while nylon crush washer, five to a pack, for $2.87.  Moreover he mentioned that I will get several oil changes out of one washer so even if I only get three changes per washer, that is about one-fifth the cost per change (for crush washers, of course!), and much more if I count the time and money wasted driving across town!...
 
Now I know that there are not any "Canadian Tire Stores" in the USA, let alone Europe, however, I suspect that other auto parts stores carry similar items at comparable savings.
 
And while I image not many will get too excited about crush washers, I thought it would be of enough interest to pass along!
