Re: [St] Sticky throttle cable

Assuming the RS setup is the same as the ST, the primary problem was
shown to me by a friend while giving Skittles the 24k service. The
throttle cables connect to the throttle bodies in an inverted fashion
relative to other bikes. Meaning the open end of the cable sheath faces
up so as to best catch dust, moisture and debris. Lubrication of the
cables does wonders, I can report!

Subject: [St] Sticky throttle cable

Hey folks,

My 02 RS is developing a sticky throttle cable. It was
purchased new in 04 and has about 21K on it. Cant find
anything in either manual to address this. Any
ideas/suggestions? Can it be lubed, or does it need
replaced, and if so how daunting a task is this?

Thanks,

John
