Just to unnecessarily add to the glimpses from the past, some may remember
an aftermarket accessory company named Webco that sold a fork brace.  Their
brace attached to the fork sliders in place of the front fender.  The holes
for the attaching fasteners had to be drilled in the brace for each
installation.  The brace was commonly used on scrambles and desert bikes
based on British twins.  HD-based bikes may also have used them.
