[St] Rear brake pedal bolt

This is a bit of a strange one.

Halfway to work this morning, I moved my foot to cover the brake pedal (I
usually ride with the ball of my foot on the peg) and found the lever ABOVE
my foot. Pedal was in a horizontal position instead of angled about 25
degrees down, as usual. Brake still worked fine, just with a very long
travel, and no resistance at all until the pedal reached the normal resting
position.

Turns out the little bolt and nut which link the pedal to the
adjuster/actuating rod have gone AWOL. I have "fixed" it with a cable tie
to hold the pedal in its normal rest position to get me home tonight (!)
but does anyone know if this is a special bolt/nut (in other words, mail
order from Jack Lilleys) or could I use anything that fits. Chances of my
Triumph dealer having the parts or getting them within a reasonable
time/cost are pretty much nil. Has this ever happened to anyone? Should I
Loctite the bolt/nut when reassembling?
