Re: [St] Riding boots - Dress Boots?

I don't know how dressy you're looking for but I have a pair of Alpinestars Ridge model. They're about the height of a tall hiking boot and are very comfortable. I often wear them all day long at the office. They would look funny with dress pants but with jeans they're fine.

I've been through some pretty big rains without my feet getting wet and they are cheap. I've had them for about 3 seasons. Only complaint is that I had to replace the velcro at the top of the boot because it lost its grip over time.

BTW, I wear Sidi mountain bike shoes... does that count?

Does anybody know of a dressy (or at least more stylish) shoe/boot that you can wear if you want to go out and/or to the office? All the boots referred to so far have been distance riding boots. The other choice that I see are the Harley/cruiser style leather square toed boots.

I work in an office and would like to commute but my only choices seem to be cowboy boots or just regular dress shoes. Is there anything out there that could be good dress/casual boot? I'm guessing not due to low demand, if nothing else. Thought I'd ask though since we're talking about boots.
