Re: [St] Toy Haulers

I've just bought a Prodigy brake controller ($130 shipped). It's getting
installed Friday. It gets high marks. It supposedly is an 'install and
forget' kind of deal with only minor tweaks required (if at all). It has a
sensor to tell how hard you brake and then brakes the trailer in kind. This
is different from a standard brake controller that is either on or off with
how much braking force determined by manual adjustment. They are a pain
because you want the trailer to brake harder than the truck to minimize the
change of jack knifing. But then, the trailer brakes to hard for slow
speeds, like parking.
