Re: [St] Transmission Woes

I have an '01 with 16,000 miles and the transmission will not down shift.  
I've checked the clutch (it's not dragging) and the shift linkage (not binding). 
 Anyone ever have this problem? Will the engine have to be removed from the  
frame, disassembled and the cases split to repair it?  If so, How much  would 
this cost?
