Re: [St] Arkansas Ride Last Weekend WAS (Re: ST Pictures)

I am betting the rear is higher, but with all 3 bags on it, it does not look out of place. I remember the top box on the '99 looking out of place to me when it was on the bike without the panniers as well. We'll put a top box on one the bikes this weekend, take a picture of it with and without a rider on the bike and from the rear. Someone else will have to provide the '99 pictures. After Arkansas, I am sure plenty of comparison photos will be posted ;-).

BTW, our reservation request is already in at the hotel and my calendar is marked ;-).

When someone has the chance I'd love to see a rear view shot comparing the first generation ST with trunk with that of the latest.
Philip's photos make it look like the new trunk sits way higher than the previous version. Not only does it look odd, it can't help the handling. Between that and the smaller panniers, I'm thinking I better treat my '99 real nice so I have it for a long time.
