Re: [St] Brake Calipers

After 65K miles I have gone through about 4 sets of front pads and have tried a couple of different compounds from EBC and have always gone back
to the OEM pads. The OEM pads don't make any sounds, but one set of the
EBC squealed and the second set made a grinding noise like it was eating
my rotors.

after a few toots anything is possible!

I think its the pad material, it starts as a wine as you apply presure, like
a jet engine, and drops ptch as you squeeze harder.

not a "screech", more like a whistle.

another few thousan kms and I'l try another type of pad.

anyone keen to start abrake pad thread?

cheers

I hate to say that but is there any possibility that you put the pads the

way around, that is the steel in contact with the rotor?
