I bought my bike last August, and just last month the fuel gauge quit working. After studying the archives, it looks like I am having the same problem people were eight years ago who bought these things new. I took out the fuel sending unit and cleaned it up, but I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what it was about these parts that made them fail. Also, is there an option other than counting mileage between trips to the gas station before I spend $100 on a $10 part.
