John, I removed everything except the engine.
I then cleaned and sanded the frame and painted it.
I hand rubbed with three levels of steel wool on all chrome and aluminum.
I masked the lens and painted the gauges.
Very little money and a lot of elbow grease can do wonders.
Replaced parts were seat cover, front brake perch, cables, carb rebuild
kits, battery, chain, and mirrors.
