Have you also checked the little crimps in the wiring harness from the left 
switch block? A way of checking that intermittent little fault is to turn the 
ignition on and then turn the bars full lock back and forth. Also move the 
whole harness around a lot. If the crimp connections are dodgy the ignition with 
respond accordingly.
