Sadly, unless they're sitting on some very rare old stock at that
dealer, they can't sell him a new Triumph top box (though the $300 ST/RS
rack is still available in very limited quantities in the Triumph NA
warehouse).

And yes, it's the same rack for both bikes.  Personally, I'd go with the
Triumph rack instead of the SW Motech, even though it's twice the price.
The Triumph rack, while a pain to install, comes with frame
reinforcements so you can load up your top box with more confidence.  It
also looks a helluva lot better than the sheet metal SW Motech
monstrosity, and it's an easy swap back to the grab rail if you're so
inclined.

Here's what I would do:  Have the stealer check the part numbers for the

grab rail (RS v. ST).  If they're the same, then you shouldn't have an 
issue with the rear rack, and you would also be able to use something 
different like the SWMotech mount.

Of course they're going to tell you that line, as they probably want you

to buy the Triumph rack and the Triumph top box...
