Out on the German Autobahn I've maxed my 1999 ST at about 156 or 157 mph.  I don't know how accurate that is since I didn't have a GPS with me at the time.  I guess if you take the speedo usually reading a little high, it was probably maxing out at about 149 mph.  This is with stock gearing and tires.

Well my 02 St went through its MOT with both beams on, only complaint 
was it was slightly high... that and the Carbon Fiber Triumph exhaust 
was marked "not for road use"

So should have no issues with a UK MOT test with both lamps lit.
