I've ridden in Ireland, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, 
Spain, Greece, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Andorra, Liechtenstein (blink and 
you'll miss that one!)

Almost everywhere had drivers far more aware of, and courteous to, 
motorcyclists than Ireland. Even the UK, to some extent. The only place where 
I thought the standard of driving was as bad as Ireland was Italy. Belgium 
was OK apart from the atrocious driving on their motorways.
